Tunbridge Wells

Churches Winter Shelter 2016-17

'What hopes do you have for the future?'
'None. I have no hope at all. I just want to make it through today.'

These words were spoken recently by a homeless person. And tonight there will be around 35 people sleeping rough in Tunbridge Wells. Let's help the vulnerable in our town get off the street and into a shelter again this winter.

Tunbridge Wells Churches Winter Shelter exists to help rough sleepers survive the cold winter months of January and February and provides intensive support for every guest to help them move forward into a more positive and hope-full future.

The shelter will be open from Monday 2 January - Sunday night 5 March 2017.

If you are a returning volunteer, or a new volunteer who attended the in-house training and the police training, please contact Wendy Hogg as soon as possible if you haven't yet heard from her with an application form and a spreadsheet to complete. Many thanks.

Save the date: The Churches Winter Shelter Closing Service will be on Sunday 5 March.
